I live in Patiala, Punjab, INDIA.

I am married to a wonderful lady Sukhjeet Kaur and have been blessed with a lovely son Uday Pratap Singh (he is now

old, you can see his picture on top of this page).

By profession now I am an Asst Engineer in Punjab State Electricity Board, really still I dont know what am I supposed to do, as soon as I know that will post it here.

Till 15th June 2007 I was a Lecturer in Dept of CSE & IT BBSBEC, Fatehgarh Sahib. Besides doing the usual routine college work, in my spare time I used to do the following:

• managed a number of GNU/ Linux servers for BBSBEC
• looked after the Campus Network of BBSBEC
• freelance software developemnt/ consultancy for my own and for other people/ clients (still open to that)
• marketing for Free Software through my lectures/ talks (still can do that)
• play with computer (I still do that)
• play computer games (I still do that)
• research work for my Phd work (Hmmm...)

By hobby and interest I am a Software Developer, GNU S/W user and a hacker (not a blackhat).

Rest of quality time is spent with my family (my son, my wife, my brother, my mother and dad).
