Madwifi vs Beacon Interval

This is something that I am writing for record purposes. Will try to provide more detailed analysis later, if time permits.

I am using the latest version r1416-20060126 (ok now not the latest) of MadWiFi New Generation for an Atheros 5212 based PCMCI card on GNU/ Linux (Fedora Core 4), for research purposes.

The driver and the NIC work great, but I encountered one small issue. If I change the beacon interval of my AP from say 100ms to something like 500/750/1000ms etc, packet loss jumps from 0% to around 20-35%.

Under same conditions the Intel 2200G with IPW2200 does not exhibit this problem. Seems to be some bug (? or a feature) in r1416 of MadWiFi-NG.
